Little League USA Baseball Bat Standards

As of January 1, 2018, the new USA Baseball Bat Standard was implemented by Little League of America . As a reminder, UA Bearcub Baseball is affiliated with Little League of America.

Here is some quick information concerning the new rules and regulations which went into effect January 1, 2018:

  • Starting on January 1, 2018, all bats must be marked with the USABat label in order to be used in Little League Baseball®.
  • Any non-wood bat that does not have the USA bat logo will not be eligible for use beginning in the 2018 season.
  • Solid, one-piece wood bats will be allowed with or without the USA Baseball mark.
  • Multi-piece wood bats must have the USA Baseball mark in order to be allowed.
  • Bats cannot be longer than 33" and no more than 2 5/8" in diameter.
  • For our T-ball leagues, certified Tee Ball bats (26" and shorter) will feature the USA Baseball mark and text which reads ONLY FOR USE WITH APPROVED TEE BALLS. (UABCB uses approved tball balls)
  • We will work with our coaches and umpires to ensure all teams and players are using the appropriate bats.
  • PLEASE NOTE, BATS WITHOUT THE USA LABEL WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. ANY PLAYER USING AN ILLEGAL BAT WILL BE CALLED OUT AND THE OFFENDING TEAM WILL LOSE ONE BASE COACH FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE GAME. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Additional information can be found on the Little League website.
